Maintenance · Tune-Ups

The tune-up that prevents the midnight call.

Most emergency calls we run started as a $30 part and a dirty coil somebody didn’t catch. Seasonal maintenance finds those failures while they’re still small.

Know the signs

What a real tune-up includes

Not a ten-minute filter swap. A proper seasonal visit covers the things that actually fail:

Combustion & safety check (fall)

Flame quality, heat exchanger inspection, CO test, gas pressure, and every safety control verified.

Altitude check (fall)

We confirm the furnace is still derated and burning correctly for 5,400 feet — especially after any gas work in the house.

Refrigerant & charge verification (spring)

Measured, not eyeballed. Undercharge kills compressors slowly and expensively.

Condenser coil cleaning (spring)

Cottonwood fluff and hail-bruised fins choke airflow. A clean coil means lower cooling bills all summer.

Electrical component testing

Capacitors and contactors tested against spec — the two parts behind half of all no-cool calls.

Drain, filter & airflow check

Condensate drains flushed, filters checked, blower amp draw measured.

Sound familiar? Let’s look at it.

One call, a real diagnosis, and a flat price before any work starts.

The local angle

Why Aurora systems need it twice a year

This climate uses both systems hard. The furnace runs October through April — through single-digit nights and freeze-thaw swings. The AC runs June through September against 90°+ days, hail, and cottonwood season. Each deserves its own preseason visit: furnace in the fall, AC in the spring.

Maintenance customers also get priority dispatch when something does break — and the honest truth about their system’s condition, in writing, so there are no surprise failures.

Questions

HVAC Maintenance: straight answers.

When should I schedule?+
Furnace: September or October, before the first hard freeze. AC: April or May, before the first 90° week. Beat the rush and your system is ready when the weather turns.
Is a maintenance plan worth it?+
If it gets the visits actually done, yes — the math on one prevented compressor or cracked exchanger pays for years of tune-ups. Ask about current plan options when you call.
Can you maintain equipment you didn’t install?+
Absolutely — any brand, any age, installed by anyone. Call (888) 217-1674 to get on the schedule.
